ANOTHER ME!

This piece of genius was done by the very talented Sean Gardner on the NCN earlier today. It left me gobsmacked to say the least but I absolutely love it. You'll see from his blog that he likes to exaggerate ever so slightly..........

WOODY ALLEN

It was watching the hilarious 'Take the Money and Run' the other night that inspired me to do this one. Took about 2 and a half hours in total using Photoshop.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.......

As a kid, I always loved drawing comic book characters and superheroes and I think in some ways, I've never grown out of it.
I don't really know that much about Hellboy but I think he's the coolest comic book character I've ever seen. This is a very rough colour piece done in Photoshop. I will definitely be finishing this one.

CAPELLO UPDATE

I've given the Capello sketch a splash of colour with a few other changes made from the original. It's a long way from being finished but I'll try to post updates along the way.....

HOLIDAY SKETCHES

I've just returned from an amazing two week holiday in glorious Croatia. We spent the first week on the Island of Korcula which incuded a day trip to Mljet which is said to be ranked among the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world. The second week was spent in the cultural capital, Dubrovnik.
If you've not been, you're missing out big time. It's simply beautiful.
Anyway, I decided to take my sketchbook with me and churned out a few pages of observational sketches from the beach, hotel lobbies, cafes, bars, you name it. The most difficult part was trying not to get caught in mid-sketch!

RECENT LIVE WORK

Here are a few snaps from a wedding I did a few weeks ago for Niall O'Loughlin at the plush surroundings of the Leopardstown racecourse. Probably one of the biggest weddings I've ever seen.

MY NIECE (again)

I thought I'd be a good uncle and give this one another go with a slightly different style from my more 'cartooned version' from last Christmas. I'll be painting this one digitally (when I get the time of course!)

It's been a while since my last post so I thought I'd do a sketch of my most favorite celebrity right now.....Russell Brand.
The guy is a genius and one of the funniest people around today. If you get a chance to read his Biography 'My Booky Wook' then do, it's a shocking but very funny read.
Also, his show on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday nights is well worth a listen.
