Have to say the Oscars were a bit rubbish weren't they?
What annoyed me the most was all the pre-award talk of this year being Scorcese's year seeing as the Best Director award has eluded him for so long. Now I haven't actually seen 'The Departed' but can it really be a better movie than Goodfellas, Raging Bull, The Aviator and Gangs of New York which were all nominated for best picture in previous years?
Seems more like a sympathy vote to me.........
Anyway, that's my Victor Meldrew rant over with.
